East Lothian Council is extremely proud of the county’s food and drink businesses who offer such a wide variety of local and seasonal produce right on our doorstep. More and more people are rejecting the out of season foods from abroad that are piled high on the supermarket shelves and are instead going for the finest home-grown seasonal produce.

East Lothian people are enthusiastic about buying and eating local produce and the team at East Lothian Council’s Economic Development Division are keen to promote and enhance this in the local restaurants and hotels and by raising awareness with the general public. This Food and Drink Directory is just the start of this process.
