East Lothian Food & Drink Awards 2008

Nominations for this year’s East Lothian Food & Drink Awards are underway. Open to all licensed premises serving food in East Lothian, the competition is an ideal way for you to showcase the excellent local produce, customer service and hospitality available in East Lothian.

A prize of £250 and a trophy will be awarded to the winner of each category at a special awards dinner.

Categories are as follows:

• Best Café
• Best Pub Meal
• Best Hotel Meal
• Best Fine Dining (over £35 per person for 3 courses)
• Best Bistro Meal (under £35 per person for 3 courses)
• Best World Cuisine

Terms and conditions

1. Café’s to be short listed will be based on the number of entries and the reasons for nomination received by East Lothian Council.
2. A short list of 5 cafes will be created.
3. Short listed café’s will be judged during the months of September and October.
4. No contact can be made with any of the judges. Judging will be undertaken anonymously and no names of the judges will be made public.
5. The judges decision is final and no reasons are required to be given by the judges.
6. There is no right of appeal on a judging decision.
